I had no intention of taking this long to get back into the swing of things writing-wise. But, things just got busy and lots of changes were occurring – life was happening, as it does.
The biggest change by far was the addition of our new furbaby: this is Bindi. She was born on 1st January, 2017, just after we lost our Bella. We have had her now for about 3 weeks. So, as well as dealing with other things, getting used to a baby after an older dog has been quite time consuming. But she is clever and she is sweet and, while she will never replace Bella she is bringing us so much joy again.
On to writing, however! I am yet to get back to my two big projects so I thought I would write a short story to get back into the swing of things. In the choir that I am part of (Jubila Singers), we are learning a song called The Parting Glass. It is sad and beautiful at the same time. And it is screaming at me to write a story based around it.
So that is what I will be writing about for now. Hopefully, it will lead to a total unblocking of the writers block I have been suffering from.
Cheers
Kerry
